{Work in Progress Wednesday}

“Creativity is more than just being different. Anybody can plan weird; that’s easy. What’s hard is to be as simple as Bach. Making the simple, awesomely simple, that’s creativity.”

– Charles Mingus

(work in progress: Very Easy Shawl Knit Sideways in Cascade Sauk, autumn colorway.)

We’d love to see your works in progress. Something that makes you feel simple or creative.  Something you’re making. Something you’re doing (folding a pile of laundry–again?). Something you’re planning. Share in the comments!

  1. Heather, I just wanted to pop in and tell you I’ve really been enjoying your blog lately! I love the posts about real life, your kids, your challenges and your projects. Keep it up!

    • Thank you so much! The new platform has been freeing. And fun. Fun being the most important part. :-)

  2. I just cast off a Shroom hat (pics on Ravelry) and a thistle hand towel. I need to cast on a potholder to go with the dishcloth, but I am concerned that the pattern is more intarsia-like (ack!) than fair-isle-like, and I need to investigate before I get in too deep!

  3. Thank you for visiting DRAH! I came to visit and am enjoying reading YOUR blog :) I almost always return back comments from bloggers; I am desiring to go deeper, not wider this year, so I know who to visit that way :) I, too will look up Charles Mingus. Blessings!

  4. Oh oh, I’m making Tin Can Knits- Rye socks (Ravelry) just now- although had I seen this on Wednesday I would have said I was making Pickles Two Way Dress. Was excited to see your WIP Wednesday post :)

  5. What a great quote! I’m working on knitting a pair of socks (and watching as many Olympics events as I can!)
