It’s hard to find good literature these days. The shelves of our libraries seem to be stocked with the same ten plots, retold by fifty different authors. The same characters run through our minds and we yearn for something new, something outside the norm. For those of us teens crazy enough to be careful about our choices, it’s even more difficult.

I believe it, do you?

“I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day, He rose again;
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.”

These are the words of the Apostles Creed, the basic points of our faith, what we as Christ followers believe. Every word bringing with it on different days joy and sorrow, happiness and pain, the sometimes heavy emotions of following Christ, the difficult decisions of life, and the reminder that in parts of the world, claiming His name still means death.

Glow Bug Cloth Diapers {review + giveaway}

We received a free product for the purpose of writing this review. Our family only reviews items that we actually find valuable and are able to be 100% honest about regarding our experience. We received no monetary compensation for our opinion.

Snaps or hook and loop? One size? Lower rise? Elastic at the tummy, or just around the back? Crossover wings? Gussets? Microfiber? Fleece? Envelope?

A zillion things to get done. Or, at least, that’s how it feels. A zillion niggling little bits of business vying for my time, eating up my hours, needing to be completed.

This is the place where I become the irritable momma. This is when one more glass of water is a hardship, where a toddler who won’t nap is a catastrophe, where people, I just need one stinkin’ minute so please, please can’t you sit still while I get this done???

A Letter to MKs Around the Globe

Yesterday, I was left home with my brother while Mom and Mary Hannah took the little guys to a birthday party. If you know anything about our family, you can probably guess that an event like this is usually a celebration of music– music as loud as you want it because no one will mind. We’d been left with a few chores to do, so I figured I’d set up my speaker downstairs. Then I remembered a wonderful application of science that my dad taught me on the roof of our house in Nepal.
