What if I told you that I have– after seven years of nearly non-stop cloth diapering– finally found the perfect nighttime fitted? What if I said I had found a diaper that absorbs more than seems possible, holds like a champ, and fits flawlessly? Now what if I told you that the very same diaper cost just $22?

You’d tell me I was nuts, right? Because if you’ve spent any time at all trying to master the fine art of overnight cloth, you know that you might be able to squeak out two of the above criteria. If you are truly blessed, you can manage all three. But no way are you paying less than $40 for that fluff. Isn’t happening. Because as we all know, nighttime diapers that are any good at all cost an arm and a leg. That’s just how it is.

Except … maybe it isn’t.

Olinmade {Review} | To Sow a Seed

Let me introduce you to Olinmade, an etsy find that instantly became a mainstay in our diapering routine. If that tag looks a little faded, that would be because Jude has worn that diaper every single night since it was prepped eight weeks ago. I am hopelessly devoted to this diaper, folks. It goes on his bum post-bath every night, serves like a stalwart all night long, then comes off each morning and makes its way immediately to the wash to be made ready for the next round.

This is a squishy soft, organic hemp bamboo fleece creation. The cut is generous (perfect for Jude’s chunky thighs) and the sizing is spot-on for Mommas who like a higher rise on their babes. The workmanship is quality, and the materials are exceptional; as noted, the diaper you see pictured here has been through some heavy duty wear and tear and still looks as good as new.

On its own, the outer fitted would probably make a great daytime diaper. Hemp bamboo fleece is super absorbent, meaning it doesn’t take much to get the job done. Which is good, because with the included snap-in two-layer doubler added, this:

becomes this:

In other words, it is not the trimmest diaper you will have in your arsenal. But fully loaded up, with a wool soaker on top, this fluff has kept my sheets dry despite bed-sharing with a heavy wetter who likes a couple of nighttime snacks. I don’t care how thick the bottom is if I don’t wake up to damp sheets.

Because that’s what it’s all about, right? The elusive bulletproof nighttime solution, happy mornings, and, if at all possible, not spending a fortune to achieve the two. Try Olinmade fitteds. Seriously. Try Olinmade fitteds.

Your bed will thank you.

  1. I love it. I like the way it looks. I’m betting it feels nice too. I’m with you – I like things that do their job well and at that price it is an amazing bargain.

  2. I look for good absorbancy, not so bulky and easy to rinse off in the morning. I have been using flats but would love to try a fitted.

  3. I’m looking for absorbent without bulk. Haven’t found the best yet. Would love to try this.

  4. Lots of absorbency, and a comfortable fit for our little to sleep in. This diaper looks amazing! I’ve never heard of them before.

  5. Super absorbent but also very comfortable for out little one to sleep in. We’ll have to check out this brand; they seem great!

  6. I look for something that fits well and is very absorbent. We had a lot of nighttime issues and needed to change diapers at least once a night for months. Fitteds with wool worked the best for us!

  7. I’ve never used a different diaper for nightime, but I think maybe I should. My little guy won’t go back to sleep once his pre-fold is soaked, so I usually change him twice a night, and we still wake up wet sometimes. So something that lets him sleep and keeps our sheets dry would be great! Though the sheets also get soaked from his drool … I don’t think a diaper could fix that problem. 🙂

  8. For an overnight diaper, I look for something that is extremely absorbant that won’t leak but also has a stay dry feature so baby is more comfortable.

  9. Hands down, absorbency is key for overnight diapering. I don’t fret about bulk nearly as much since a) I don’t care about clothing fit when it comes to PJs and b) baby is (hopefully) not to active in her overnight CD.

  10. new to cloth diapering but I would assume I’d want a nighttime diaper that was absorbant, non leaking and wicked away wetness from baby as not to leave rashes!!

  11. Comfort and functionality. I want my baby to be able to sleep comfortably but not wake up soaked

  12. Overnight I look for something that will keep my baby dry for 12 hours! She’s a good sleeper.

  13. I look for super absorbent, but easy to change in case I have to in the middle of night.

  14. Obviously absorbancy is important, but also very important for me is that it’s not super bulky!

  15. Due with my first in March and cannot wait to try some fitteds! I may dream of cloth diapers… don’t tell anyone 🙂

  16. I look for a really absorbent diaper when I’m looking for an overnight diaper. We’ve been using cloth for a few months now, but I haven’t found a great night time solution for us yet. Maybe it’s because I just can’t spend over forty dollars for a diaper right now, but we’re still looking for a fail proof overnight solution. I would love to try this fitted for my baby boy. Thanks for the great review.

  17. I’m not sure what I look for in an overnight diaper yet! I guess absorbency but my daughter is only 6mo and we are only just now having to look into other options… We’ve had wet sheets every night for over a week and I can’t take it anymore! Can’t wait to find something that works for us… Fingers crossed:)

  18. Looking for absorbency w/o spending too much. Just started looking into fitteds, seems like this might be a great option!

  19. The most important thing for an overnight diaper is that it has enough absorbancy to get through the night! That and that it fits well enough (at legs & waist) to not gap on my roll every which way and end up side or front sleeping toddler (which is the reason most pockets & AIOs even with extra inserts haven’t worked past the 6 month point when she started rolling). I’d love to win an Olinmade fitted, thanks for the review and the chance at this giveaway!

  20. I look for absorbancy mostly since I have 2 heavy wetters but I need something that can stand up to a side sleeper too. I have been looking at better fitteds because the one I have now just isn’t holding up.

  21. Expecting our first & definitely doing cloth diapers but don’t have a clue where to start! What is best for overnight diapers v. Day?

  22. I look for bamboo or wool diapers when it comes to overnight diapers. I know they’ll keep baby dry.

  23. I look for a lot of absorbency and also comfort! Looks like this diaper fits the bill! 🙂

  24. I look for absorbency on every part of the inside of the diaper-which is why my regular AI2s don’t work, pee hits the sides and leaks out with nothing ot quickly absorb it.

  25. Looking for a leak free diaper without a huge amount of bulk, so I would love to give this diaper a try!

  26. I want overnight diapers that keep baby feeling dry and keep sheets dry as well! My 5 week old will wake up just enough to eat at night, and if I change her diaper, I’m working for an hour to get her back to sleep, so I try to avoid that, but it means that diapers need to hold a LOT to make it through the night!

  27. Something that absorbs well and keeps baby comfortable throughout the night without any leaks!

  28. Absorbency. I don’t care how ugly the thing is, if we wake up dry that’s the one I want to use!

  29. I looked for a diaper that can last 12 hours and that either has a staya dry layer, or allows for one to be put in. I lean more towards natural fibers at night as I find they do a better job for night then synthetic

  30. Something I look for is something that doesn’t leak! Which I haven’t been able to find yet!

  31. So in a nighttime diaper I think I am looking for absorbency but also breathability- that’s why I’m loving wool covers , they help allow some air to pass thru I hope. For my older bedwetter, I’m trying to find an option for an easy–remove/put on diaper so my 4.5yr old can take it on and off to go potty as needed.
Thanks for the giveaway for the Olinmade fitted- I’m excited to participate!

  32. What I look for in an overnight diaper is a diaper with tons of absorbency. I also like something that is going to be comfy on my son to wear overnight. I’ve actually never tried a fitted!

  33. i have a super heavy wetter and finding a solution for overnight has been quite the adventure. This looks like something I definitely would want to try.

  34. I love fitteds. They’re so soft! I’ve never heard of this brand but would love to try it.

  35. My son has been wetting through for the past week so I’m ready to try something new! Anything to keep him dry and asleep 🙂

  36. Absorbency, with proper fit around the legs! We’ve had an awful time with the first kid with leg gaps, or not enough absorbency if the legs did fit. Also stay-dry is a nice plus, and less than $30/diaper!

  37. i look for absorbancy, leak-proof, easy to wash, and inexpensive. i think $22 is a bit over my price range, though. i’m looking for below $10 per diaper, even if that means i have to buy used (which i mostly do)!

  38. I definitely look for maximum absorbency in a nighttime diaper. It helps to be trim, but it’s not necessary in a nighttime diaper for me because it’s just being slept in. Soft material is a plus as well.

  39. Definitely absorbency is my #1 criteria. I’ve been using bamboo flats with a hemp doubler and wool cover. Would love to try a fitted! (easier for dad to put on, too lol)

  40. Well absorbency first and for most since I want it to last through the night. Secondly something not too bulky.

  41. I like diapers that are absorbent enough for all night and also something that isn’t so bulky it looks uncomfortable.

  42. I look for fit. My baby has a Buddha belly little hips and thick thighs. Finding a diaper that gives enough room for her thighs to move and doesn’t get pushed down by the belly is key. And being absorbent is a must too.

  43. absorbency!! first and foremost. and no spots for it to wick. i have 2 night time heavy wetters…. i dont want pee sheets!

  44. Absorbancy is definitely what I look for the most in an overnight diaper. Trim would be the second thing I look for. Trim isn’t always a deciding factor, because I know that there really is no trim solution for night diapers in cloth. I also look for the ease/simplicity of what I’m using. For instance, do I need multiple inserts and all types of covers, or do I just need one diaper and one cover?

  45. This looks amazing. I agree, i don’t care how fluffy the bum is of the sheets stay dry!

  46. I look for lots of absorbency that also doesn’t leave my son with a rash on the morning. Our current nightime diapers don’t leak but don’t seem to wick the moisture away from his skin as much as they used to. I’ve been searching and searching for a solution, and would love to try this diaper!

  47. Our little one isn’t due til April so I’m not sure what to look for in an infant for overnight. But my 3 year old is in cloth only for bed time and absorbancy matters as well as comfort for her!

  48. Always on the look out for an overnight that is affordable! I also look for something not too bulky!

  49. Definitely the most absorbency! Especially if it feels like LO’s skin still stays dry despite the diaper being saturated. Love the newborn fitteds we had, now I’m in need of some of these since she is outgrowing them!

  50. I would love a diaper that doesn’t have me changing wet jammies and sheets every morning. I would like something that is super absorbent and one size so I can use it on my 2 year old and 1 year old.

  51. Our overnight go-to diapers look a lot like these, but are “China cheapies” :-/ I love that hemp is so absorbent and has antimicrobial properties.

  52. I’m just starting my cd collection while waiting for baby #1, so I haven’t tried any night time diapers yet.

  53. In an overnight diaper, I look for high absorbency and comfort for my baby!! This fitted looks super soft and comfy for my baby to wear overnight. We also love hemp and know it’s absorbency power, so this is perfect!

  54. I haven’t cloth diapered in 17 years, back when you put those yucky plastic pants over them. I look forward to trying this wool overnights as I don’t like waking up in a pee puddle.

  55. In a fitted I’m looking for something that does its job! Paired with a wool coveri expect a dry baby and sheets! Looks like this does a good job!

  56. We have yet to find a bomb-proof night time diaper. We get close, then she starts wetting more & we have to try again. Would love to try this as it sounds like a great solution.

  57. I look for something easy for Daddy to put on, since he does bed time. But avoiding rash and keeping skin dry is very important.

  58. All I need in an overnight diaper is absorbancy. I don’t care if I’m struggling to fit it under a cover or not. So far, nothing can hold my supersoaker newborn all night.

  59. We have just started really needing overnight diapers. Up until this last week our daytime diapers had been cutting it. Then baby started eating all night. Now not much is holding. We need something that holds a lot.

  60. most importantly i look for natural fibers. in my experience natural fibers trump all synthetics, especially at night time.

  61. I do need better night time diapers. Im tired of stuffing extra inserts or bulking up prefolds. I also love shopping on etsy you can always find great buys. This diaper looks legit might haveto go check it out before i click buy on another etsy product.

  62. I need a diaper to be absorbent and cool. My son hates covers or pants of any kind and is constantly kicking them off. I wouldn’t care about it being trim, since he doesn’t like pants and Florida doesn’t see much cold.

  63. I’m new to cloth, still building my stash but am looking for something that fits well to keep her dry through naps and through the night.

  64. Overall, I just want something that will absorb the most! My daughter is a heavy wetter in general so we struggle to find diapers that won’t leave her with a wet bed in the morning!

  65. I am looking for a diaper that has great absorbency but doesn’t require super mega extra stuffing.

  66. Sounds great, I need a nighttime diaper that keeps baby dry all night but is not hard on her skin.

  67. Above all else, I value functionality, and absorbency. I also like it when I don’t have to add much to the diaper. Layers are fine if I need to, but I love it when there’s an alternative that doesn’t require any additional tweaking.

  68. Pregnant with my first and on the hunt for quality cloth diapers! These look very absorbent and great for overnight.

  69. We look for something that keeps the sheets dry. it has to hold a lot of pee and not leak out the top for my tummy sleeper.

  70. I would love something with enough absorbancy to prevent leaks but not so bulky it looks like she has a pillow under her bum.
