On paper, the 2020-2021 school year is over.
Our last CC Community Day was last Thursday, and since we work a week ahead, we’re officially done. Oh, we have a few loose ends to tie up (Memory Master proofing this week), and some things, like math and music, never really go away in the summer. But for all intents and purposes, we begin the downshift into summer mode now.
Plans include swimming lessons for some kids, and hours spent at the creek. A dear friend invited our family to join her family in the National Bible Bee summer study (not competing, just immersing in the study together) and I’m excited about the opportunity to be intentional there. I have several read-alouds I’ve saved for the leisurely weeks of too-hot weather. We may try strings camps again after a year off due to covid.
It was a great year. So much learning, so much growth. The best part is that even though the school year is over, the learning and growing isn’t.
