I’m the first to admit that some days, my kids hurt my brain.

O.k., probably not for the reason you’re thinking. The truth is, somehow, this homeschooling experiment in which two decent-enough students with degrees in the liberal arts took on the education of their own kids somehow turned out scientists. I, for one, did not see that coming. Guys, I set my lab partner’s hair on fire in seventh grade. I blame the Aqua Net as much as my ineptitude with a bunson burner. But fact is fact and no, I did not breeze through upper level sciences. I labored through them. And my husband? Well, he teaches high school sciences for homeschoolers, so maybe he’s to blame?

At any rate, my kids love science. All of those hours spent curled up on the couch digging in to historical fiction, the wide-ranging selections of poetry, the art history focus… they didn’t kill the deep love my children have for biology, physics, chemistry, you name it.

Or their sense of humor, apparently.

When Science Meets Santa

I’ve mentioned my son’s YouTube channel before, but today, I have to share a video with you that made me laugh hysterically and hurt my brain. Without further ado, Mathaus Explains what happens when science is applied to the man-made “magic” that is Santa. You won’t want to miss this!
